Important roadworks information
A12 northbound junctions 22 to 24 – resurfacing
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing works on the A12 between junctions 22 and 24. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work in four phases between Wednesday 29 January and Thursday 27 February 2025. We will work between 9pm and 5am on weeknights only, weather permitting.
- Phase 1 – between 29 January and 1 February 2025
- Phase 2 – between 6 February and 8 February 2025
- Phase 3 – between 12 February and 15 February 2025
- Phase 4 – between 26 February and 27 February 2025
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A12 between junctions 22 and 24, and divert traffic as detailed below:
- Exit the A12 at junction 19 Boreham
- Follow the A131 to Braintree and join the A120
- Follow the A120 eastbound to Marks Tey
- Rejoin the A12 at junction 25
