We work with Chelmsford City Council and Essex County Council to provide and enhance services and facilities within the area.

Chelmer Village Council covers Chelmer Village and Chancellor Park.

The Council currently has 10 members and (5 vacancies) who are elected every four years. Each year the Council elects a Chairman and Vice-Chairman for the municipal year. Council Meetings take place regularly throughout the year and are held at the Chelmer Village Hall.

All meetings are open to Members of the Press and Public.

The Council operates a committee system to assist in the day to day management of the village Council. There are three main committees:

  • Finance & Policy
  • Planning
  • Environment and Chelmer Village Green

The meetings usually take place on a Monday evening and are held in the Chelmer Village Hall, Village Square, Chelmer Village, Chelmsford, CM2 6RF
